Company reviewing each claim.
I have 7 claims that they had covered before and paid for the same medication for my dog who is blind due to Glaucoma, They have copies of the prescriptions, paid stubs, packing slips, and invoices, and are too stupid to read them. They claim that the medication does not match the Glaucoma prescription.
For the past 10yrs, they have been paying these exact same medications. I have had to call them an average of 2timsd

Hard sell by aggressive saleswoman.
Worst experience ever. Its like she was on ten cups of coffee and determined to make a sale.
She was a bulldog and wouldnt let go. My basic questions were never answered and she talked over me and changed the subject to try to steer me to closing the deal for a lifetime enrollment. It was alarming.
Big mistake for this company to pay by commission. Very bad for their image.

Paid $48 per month for 6 months and they can't even handle a small vet bill
They are a scam. Pretty much, if you use them, your paying a bunch of thieves.
We adopted a dog and took her to the vet for checkups and all the vaccinations. Six months later she had a skin problem and needed about $500 worth of treatment. They said it was a underlying health condition and wouldn't be reimbursement even though it wasn't underlying.
Pretty much, whatever ailment your pet gets, that's a preexisting condition and you won't get a dime. Crooks.

They Ransom accounts to get your money
24PetWatch has locked down my account unless I pay them an $85 fee to get lifetime membership for my pet. Their notice when I logged in stated, "Information is currently locked for editing.
Please select a membership plan to edit your information." It will not allow me to edit my account in any capacity, nor will it allow me to terminate my account which is what I want to do. They are holding my account ransom unless I pay, and tell me via their customer support hotline, that they cannot delete my account. I do not want them to have access to any of my information, and wish to have all my pet's information deleted from their system as well. At first they told me they couldn't delete my pets information until 1/2 way through the call when they magically said they could delete my pets.
They have since locked me out of my account, and I have no assurances or faith that they will delete or have deleted any of mine or my pets information. Please beware, and do not allow this unethical business to have your information.

Microchip company extortion
I adopted a chihuahua a few months ago. The family he was previously with had him registered with a microchip organization called Free Pet MIcrochip Registry.
We went through the process of ownership transfer and all my information and his new name were put on file with this organization. I recently discovered that my new dog Quinn (previously Shrek) was also registered with 24 Pet Watch Microchip company. I contacted 24 Pet Watch and Quinn's microchip number came up with the previous owner's name, his previous name and an outdated contact phone number for the previous owner. I told the representative that Quinn is registered with another company and to please delete his outdated profile with them.
I was then told by the phone representative and her manager that the ONLY option is to pay a $30 ownership transfer fee and a $29 annual membership fee and then my contact information would be put on file. 24 Pet Watch reps said no profile can ever be deleted only updated! THIS DOES NOT SOUND RIGHT AT ALL TO ME!
I'm very worried that if Quinn ever is lost the wrong company with the wrong contact information will get called and I will never know that he was found! Has anyone experienced this situation with 24 Pet Watch?

Terrible management of information
They've got my cat's microchip information wrong and they're technical management is so screwed up I cannot get it corrected. They don't seem to be able to fix it.
Very frustrating while my cat is missing. I wouldn't get a microchip from them if you have a choice because they can't or won't help you keep your information current
Horrible
Sooo my adopted cat was already microchipped through this *** company already when I got him from the shelter. I reported my one year old cat missing this morning and they refuse to give me any update on his location status unless I purchase a membership.
Their so called protection is scam to get your money, trust me THEY do not care about your pets at all.
The rep told me I basically have to wait until someone hopefully finds him and is smart enough to scan for a chip and then supposedly they will let me know. Awesome!!
Definitely a scam
Submitted a claim after paying for this service for months and they refused to pay out because my dog was adopted and not bought from a pet store
A total ripoff
A cat I adopted had already been microchipped thru 24petwatch, so I called to register my contact information with them. Unlike the other microchipping companies like Home Again, they refused to record my information unless I bought an annual or lifetime membership, and said if I do not, and my cat is lost and the chip scanned, all they will do is give my email address to whoever calls -- maybe.
No other information, and will not let me know my animal was found. I pressed this pretty hard, and she would not budge, and pressed back that I should buy the Lifetime membership, and they would send a Petco coupon for $25, and Rover.com coupon for $40. Turns out the Petco coupon must be used within 30 days, and for a 1-time purchase exceeding $25. At least I get 4 months to use the Rover.com coupon.
The shelters have already paid them for the microchip and ability to register the pet's information, so this is unethical and just plain wrong.
p.s. this doesn't even get me their health insurance, that costs still more.

Nasty rude uneducated
I have an account with 3 pets registered an a girl working for them messed the account disappeared all my pets and changed my name. Called second time to report it and when I spoke with someone by the name Jennifer she said that she was going to send me a link to see that everything was perfect lol when I clicked on the link same issue so I asked her to stay on the phone while I log out and log in again for a minute and she was desperate in less than a minute saying so loud, can I help you with something else?
Are you gonna do it now or later? Like the *** did not want to wait on the phone and I swear not even a minute. Do they get pay by the hour?
Or wtf? Well I let her go to find out the same issue and have to spend my day calling them to finally have someone at the phone telling that was going to take 3 days to be fix it lmao *** you
Dog Microchip, I feel scammed!
I just want to share with you the experience with 24 PetWatch microchip/ insurance company I just had. I called 24 Pet Watch today to update my phone number on my dog microchip.
They first tried to upsell me on a membership. (Either $21.95 or $64.95 for lifetime.) They told me without paying the membership fee they will not contact me any other way than by email if my pet gets lost. I honestly thought getting the microchip tag was enough. Then they said that changing the phone number didn't matter because they only contact through email when you don't pay the membership fee.
They did not have my email address on file. My dog is now 6 years old and we've had him since he was a pup. So, If I hadn't gone to my vet to get his chip number with the scanner, called 24 PetWatch to try changing my phone number, I wouldn't have known that 24PetWatch would never contact me without an email address on file if my dog was missing. They have all my other, now incorrect contact information.
I find this to be a sham. I feel like they took my email address just to be able to up sell me pet insurance and send fear mongering literature in the future. The lady I spoke to did say they will email me stuff. So, in the end, I was NOT able/not required?
to change my phone number or emergency contact on file. They don't call anyway! I felt very frustrated by the end of the call and would not recommend this product from 24 PetWatch and it is definitely not something I would purchase again in the future. I emailed my vet about this and they called 24 PetWatch to clarify what the membership is about.
The vet had no idea you had to pay an extra yearly fee either. My vet called me back right away and thanked me for the heads up. They are looking for another company to deal with other than 24PetWatch now. I honestly thought I was covered, so did my vet!
(I am in Canada, but I know this company is in USA also. It might be worth looking into if you use their services, if this is their policy state-side also)
Inquiring about costs of services
Rep continued to talk over me, interrupt me and was not very nice in general. I told her I'd be checking with my vet before I secure any of their services for my dog I recently acquired from a friend.
She asked me questions that were not relevant to my phone call whatsoever. She asked me twice why I was not going to pay for services in our brief phone call. I finally told her it was really none of her business at this time. Said goodbye and hung up.
First impression of this company on a scale of 1-10 would be a negative number in my opinion. I hope I can find better customer service elsewhere.

Scammers - stay clear of this company
I feel that I got scammed by 24petwatch insurance.
Why do you buy insurance, simple in case if something happens to your dog.
When I got the insurance my pet was healthy and had no issues, went for his physical checkup and got vaccinations.
Couple of lesions developed on his tummy (not sure due to heat or food).
Called Insurance company and asked if my waiting period was over and I was told yes, it is over and I can take him for checkup for couple of lesions on his tummy.
24PetWatch - denied the claim stating onset date was within "waiting period" and now they will treat his skin rash has pre-existing condition... OMG.. he is baby.. still adjusting to new world and building immune system.
I ended up paying for vet bill and adn his medication and in turn got denied for claim.
SCAMMERS.... SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T SIGN UP WITH THEM.
Even thou their rates seems to be reasonable but they will find cheesy ways to decline your claims.
Preferred solution: Full refund
Bad company
When you sign up they make it seem so easy to submit claims and that every thing is covered. Now I know that major pre existing conditions would not be covered, but I wasn't expecting them to deny my claim for a pre existing symptom.
I have a puppy that had Giardia when we first got him. I did not have coverage yet. I wasn't to worried about it and just figured that parasites would not be covered because he was diagnosed before coverage. We had a emergency with him about 3 weeks after I purchased the plan.
He was throwing up and had diarrhea. We took him to the vet and had to have blood drawn and a x ray and some fluids and he was put on meds. He was also cleared of the Giardia and that was not causing the illness. The vet told us he has food allergies and a mild Pancretits.
Submitted the claim and it was denied because he had stomach issues before he was covered even though this illness has nothing to do with the Giardia that was causing his first problems. Now the vet we took him to is not the greatest either and because of there incomplete notes didn't help the claim to get paid. So the insurance asked me to get additional information from the vet. I tried and the doctor told me to have the insurance call.
I told the claims rep this and she gave me attitude. Then I get a call back form her and all she has to say is she called once and cant get a hold of the doctor and my claim is denied. What am I paying these idiots for. Now for the rest of my dogs life no stomach illness will be covered because it was a pre existing symptom.
It is so ridiculous, now I have to try and fight with my vet to clear this up as well as the company. Do not use this company find another pet insurance
